I grew up in a small town in Northern California in the middle of the Redwood forest. My brother and I spent the majority of our time climbing trees, riding dirt bikes and exploring the outdoors till it was time for dinner. My parents moved to Pipe Creek Texas in 2005 and in 2009 they asked me to join them in Texas. I decided to join them with excitement but also with trepidation as I’ve never been the new kid before.. Not too long after I moved here I got involved in a Mission Church community group and then soon became a church member. A few years later I married my husband Jarod Spraggins, and it has been one of my greatest privileges in life to raise our two children Addeline and Julian. I just love being a parent! Mission Church has been a special place for my family because it experience the first church we both ever attended where it was so much more than just showing up on Sunday and then leaving. There was a strong thriving community there that wanted to live a deep, meaningful relationship with us, and although this caught us a little off guard, it has been a life changing experience. I now can say that one of my absolutely favorite things to do is live a deep, meaningful relationship with people and to hear their stories. Through becoming a church member, and now becoming the Director of Children's Ministries, I am still amazed that I get to live out my calling as a carrier. It has truly been a transformative and redemptive experience being involved with mission and watching Jesus care for and grow His church.
