1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Advent 2023 1st Week Love
Our order of Advent:
Love- without Godly love, none of the others count
Peace- Real love brings Peace. This changes our reception
Hope- Peace enables Hope. This changes our actions
Joy- All three free us from the suffering of this present day to allow us to focus on the one who saves:
Jesus (Christmas Day)
FEAR is a liar its desire is murder
Faith is truth its desire is life
Fear lies to cover the truth
Faith speaks truth to eliminate lies
Therefore, our only hope is to trust in Christ who has loved us, and gives us life, and gives life to others through us
1st John 4:7-8
Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
We are called to love. Whom? One another.
Galatians 6:10
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.
Why? Because ALL real love is from God
Only those who know God can love in this profound, forever-changing way
If you don’t love in THIS WAY, you aren’t of God. You aren’t a Christian
God is LOVE. It’s one of His names. He created it. That kind of love that is not from Him does not love. It likes.

So how in the world do we do this?
ONLY THROUGH JESUS!!
We live through Jesus, therefore we love through Jesus
Love does not begin with your feelings, your wants, your loyalties, etc. It begins with God’s love for us through Jesus Christ
Jesus paid for sin, we are free now to love Him in return, and free now to love others only through that LOVE.
