IDENTITY IN CHRIST | DAY 24
Titus 2:11-12
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age
I am called through Grace
So grace is free. Can’t be earned. Grace is also a responsibility as we will see today. It’s a part of your calling by God to have the best life you have been created for. Grace brings salvation, and it also empowers us to live in a certain way that glorifies God, the one who has saved us! Here is what grace does:
1.) Instructs us
We all need instruction. If I were a gazillionaire, I would hire instructors for everything. I’d hire a personal chef, a life coach, a trainer, and a real estate specialist…the list would go on! You and I need instruction, and Jesus is the best instructor the world has ever seen. Your way and my way didn’t work.
2.) Tells us to say no to godlessness, and lust
Without God, we die. The world tells us you can achieve happiness and fulfillment by yourself. Scripture says we can do NOTHING apart from Christ
Lust is not love. We all know that. You can’t handle lust. It handles you.
3.) Calls us to live using the brain God gave you
This is awesome. Grace gives saves us and gives us good sense in Christ. Better decisions are made that glorify God and really benefit you!
Questions
