“This has been our vacation spot for years, and now we have been called to do ministry here. God is good!”
Pastor Tom comes from North Carolina originally; his family has lived for 300 years in the same county. He moved to Corpus Christi, Texas to start a freight company in 1991, which he ran for 10 years. He met his wife, Selina, in Houston, TX at a church event. It was love at first sight—for Pastor Tom. Selina needed a little more convincing. They married in 2000 and moved to the Rio Grande Valley where Tom had extended his freight company. In 2001, Tom came to a radical understanding of who Christ is, and things have never been the same. The freight company was sold and full-time ministry began.
Tom and Selina began college work in 2002, and later went on staff at a local church as the pastor to families with students. Tom and Selina planted Logos Community in 2008, and Logos has planted two more churches since then which are thriving today.
Tom has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, and a Master’s Degree in Missional Leadership. Selina is an educator and also a zumba enthusiast.
For fun, Tom enjoys Jiu-jitsu and mountain biking—and also, the vast amount of awesome restaurants and venues in San Antonio for live music. Tom and Selina love to two-step and enjoy relaxed dinner with family and friends.
Tom and Selina have 3 awesome girls, and are excited about being in San Antonio.
